Homebuyers Classes

Over Twenty-Eight hundred students have completed the First Time Homebuyers Classes since inception in 1997. More than Eight hundred and sixty four have become homeowners with our assistance and approximately fifty-five are saving and resolving credit issues to become homeowners within the next twelve to eighteen months.

The Homebuyer Classes are offered monthly. Call (954) 768-0963. In order to enhance the learning experience New Visions incorporates the following:

Interpreting and understanding a credit report; the importance of good credit; building and maintaining a good credit history; and addressing credit problems;
Information regarding relevant consumer protection laws and Fair Housing laws;
Information regarding HUD foreclosures and other affordable housing initiatives;
Worksheets on how much participants can afford for a monthly mortgage payment while assessing their overall eligibility for a mortgage loan;
Information regarding a variety of mortgage products and housing assistance programs; and
An opportunity to schedule a one-on-one follow up appointment to analyze their readiness for homeownership.
